Multiple intracranial injuries, n.e.c.

An employee was traveling through an airport to return home when he fell down some stairs and landed on concrete. He lost consciousness and was hospitalized due to a concussion and brain bleed.

An employee was waiting out a storm in his work truck but had to use a nearby portable toilet. While he was in the portable toilet, a lightning strike occurred approximately 50 feet away. He collapsed after coming out of the toilet. He suffered a concussion and brain swelling, requiring hospitalization.

An employee was pulling a flag connected to a tank when the flag broke, causing him to fall backwards. He struck his head on another tank and suffered a concussion with a brain bleed.

An employee was standing on the second floor landing of some stairs when the employee missed a step and fell face forward down the steps. The employee suffered a broken nose, broken wrist, broken eye socket, concussion, and brain bleed.

An employee had removed dirt inside a trench using an air hammer. The air hammer was then being removed when it fell on the employee’s head, causing a head injury and brain swelling.

An employee was attacked by a customer while working in one of the aisles. The customer cold cocked, kicked and broke two wine bottles over the injured employee’s head. The employee suffered a concussion, bleeding on the brain and head lacerations.
