Soreness, pain, hurt-nonspecified injury

An employee was offloading pipe using a 5-ton overhead crane. He was lowering a bundle that had been lifted off center and was using his left hand to level and balance the load when the chain sling slipped and his left hand was trapped between the chain and the pipe. He was hospitalized.

A hopper lid fell on an employee who was removing a bag, injuring the back of his neck and his upper back.

An employee was using a forklift to move a triple-stacked pallet of drums containing chemicals. An expandable concrete joint hit the pallet, causing the material to shift. One drum was punctured and sprayed chemical onto the employee’s entire body.

On July 28, 2020, an employee was doing housekeeping at the end of his shift. As he walked across the work area after emptying a trash can, he slipped in oil and fell, suffering a left ankle injury that required hospitalization and surgery.
