An employee was working on the kitchen in front of a steam table. While lifting a tray, his hand slipped into the steam table water, burning his right hand. He was hospitalized and required surgery.

An employee was turning a ball valve on the bypass relief for a filter. The employee was cycling out dirty oil and adding fresh oil. The sanitary fitting on the top of the valve came loose, allowing oil to exit the pipe and burn both of the employee’s legs.
