Report: Water vehicle incident, n.e.c. at Gulf Stream Marine in Houston, Texas

While on a ship, an employee was lifting one side of a pipe and putting a strap underneath it. As the employee was about to break out, one end of the pipe joints slipped out, allowing the pipe (6″/40′) to roll and strike the employee’s lower left leg. The employee’s leg was fractured above the ankle, requiring hospitalization and surgery.
