Report: Vehicle or machinery fire at Massaman Construction Company in Maumelle, Arkansas

DATE: 10/31/16

An employee was refueling a job site crew boat on 10/31/16. He removed the boat battery to plug in the portable fuel pump. During fueling, some fuel ran over and spilled inside the boat. He turned off the fuel pump, cleaned up the area, and reinstalled the boat battery. A fire occurred. He put the fire out with a fire extinguisher and suffered hand and arm pain.
