An employee was welding on a steel casing pipe while laying on the ground. One pipe was on the bucket of a backhoe when hydraulics settled on the backhoe, causing the pipe to roll off the backhoe and onto the employee. The employee sustained a broken pelvis, internal bleeding, and a contusion to the left leg.
