Report: Struck by falling object or equipment, unspecified at Basic Energy Services in Pecos, Texas

Employees were rigging down a well-servicing rig as an operator station was being lowered with a winch line. The operator station became temporarily hung up on the gears, causing the winch line to develop approximately 4 feet of slack on the line. When the operator station freed itself, it fell approximately 4 feet and struck an employee. The employee suffered fractured vertebrae.
