Report: Struck by falling object or equipment, n.e.c. at The Comflow Company in Houston, Texas

A fire sprinkler pipe burst or became detached from an anchor, causing large pieces of piping to fall. A falling piece of the pipe stuck the employee in the shoulder and head. The employee suffered broken ribs, a broken sternum, a heart injury, two punctured lungs, and a crushed back vertebra that caused paralysis from the chest down.
