Report: Struck by discharged object or substance at CFG Industries LLC in Missouri City, Texas

An employee was refilling a blast pot for sand blasting operations. When the lid of the blast pot was loosened, pressure was released and the blasting media was discharged into his face. The force also knocked him back, causing him to fall and strike his head on another blasting pot. The employee was hospitalized with abrasions to the face and eyes and injuries to his head.
