Report: Struck by discharged object or substance at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP in Cleburne, Texas
DATE: 12/31/19
A braided stainless steel hose (about 1 inch in diameter by 1 foot long) between fixed piping and the discharge side of a compressor on an odorant delivery truck ruptured. Debris from the ruptured hose struck a Chevron Phillips employee on the left side of the face. The employee was hospitalized, undergoing eye surgery.
