An employee fell through an opening 15 feet to the ground. The employee broke the left hip, ribs, a tibia, and sustained damage to the spleen. The employee was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery.

Maintenance employee for Southwestern Plating was working inside a circuit breaker box that was not locked out. A flash fire occurred, burning the employee’s arms (upper and lower), face, neck, and torso. The employee was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital (Burn Unit) where he is currently hospitalized.
