An employee was climbing the steps into his dump truck. When he reached the top step, which was frozen and slick, he fell approximately 4 feet to the ground and landed on his left side on a frozen rut. He lost consciousness and sustained several broken ribs, a broken T-10 disc, and a punctured left lung. He was hospitalized.
