Report: Inhalation of harmful substance-single episode at Oxy Vinyls in La Porte, Texas

On August 21, 2015, at 8:30 p.m., an employee was starting a pump when an expansion joint failed, releasing sulfuric acid into the atmosphere. The employee inhaled sulfuric acid fumes as he was evacuating the area. He was hospitalized.
