Report: Caught in running equipment or machinery during maintenance, cleaning at Mohawk Industries in Melbourne, Arkansas

Two machine operators were clearing a jam in a feeder machine. When the jam was removed the lever that drops the feeder chains was activated and the feeder chains dropped on the injured employee’s left hand. The injured employee sustained deep puncture/lacerations and a compression injury to the left hand.
