While rigging up the top drive, employees needed to move the Kelly hose into position. They had to swing the ST-80 all the way around. The injured employee was in a crush point, and his foot was caught while stepping out of the crush point. The ST-80 was pulled over, trapping the employee’s body between the ST-80 and the derrick leg. The employee sustained three broken ribs, a lacerated liver, and a collapsed lung, all on the right side.
