Strains

An employee was lifting a tub containing mail and phone books to place it into a hamper when she felt a sharp pain in her upper left torso. She suffered a muscle strain.

An employee was walking toward his truck. When he stepped down to the ground from the sidewalk with his right leg, he felt a pop. He fell to his knees and could not stand up, experiencing tingling and loss of feeling in both legs. He suffered a serious muscle strain to both quadriceps.

At an HEB in McAllen, an employee lifted a case of product, which consisted of six 3-Liter bottles, and strained his back.

An employee slipped/tripped and fell in the concrete parking lot while running to his automobile in the rain at an administrative building. The employee severely strained his right hamstring and sustained an abrasion on his right knee, as well as abrasions on the palms of both hands.
