Puncture wounds, except gunshot wounds

An employee had just completed nailing a pallet with a nail gun. The employee’s finger was on the trigger as the nail gun was set down. The nail gun brushed the employee’s upper leg and went off. The nail punctured the employee’s right kneecap.

An employee was working under the hood of a truck when the hood fell and dislocated a shelf on the wall. The shelf struck and punctured the employee’s lower back.

An employee was cleaning oil off the pneumatic stapler gun and a staple penetrated the employee’s right hand.

An employee was repairing a leaking water pump. The employee went to change into rubber boots when he stepped on a wheel wire brush. The wires from the brush punctured and broke off in his right heel, requiring surgical removal.

While walking 63 feet away in the equipment yard, an employee was struck on the left thigh by a piece of metal debris that broke off from the jack hammer bit on an excavator.

An employee was attempting to put a cat into a temporary holding cage, so that she could clean the cat’s main holding cage. As she reached her left hand in to handle the cat, it bit her. The employee received 27 puncture wounds as a result. The employee was hospitalized for further treatment.
