Internal injuries to organs and blood vessels of the trunk

Two employees were going to install a new building service line on an existing power pole. One of the employees climbed the pole when the pole broke at its base and fell on top of the employee. The employee suffered three broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung.

An employee was walking away from the worksite where he had just attached a steel cable to the pulling machine. The employee was struck by a steel cable that broke off from a fiber rope. The employee sustained a right side clavicle fracture, left side rib fracture, and a collapsed lung.

An employee was loading casing on a rack with a PIT. One of the casings was hanging off of the rack. When the employee went to move it by hand, it rolled off and struck the employee resulting in a broken clavicle and lacerated spleen.
