There was a fire in the foam department. An employee knocked over a bucket of acetone which splashed onto his clothes. The clothes ignited and the employee was burned.

Two employees were attempting to fix leaks in a gasoline tank. When they went to heat up the area of the leaks to braze them closed, the gasoline fumes ignited from a small bucket under the tank. The fire burned the injured employee’s arms and back, requiring hospitalization.

An employee was microwaving water during food preparation when her apron string was caught on the microwave. When she walked away, the microwave was pulled violently. This caused the hot water to fly out and land on her right hand, resulting in severe burns.

Two employees were performing a brake job on a vehicle. A passing coworker flipped an ash or a cigarette, causing some spilled brake fluid to catch fire. One of the employees suffered burns to the left arm and shoulder.
