Heat syncope

After working at an outdoor job site, an employee became overheated, sat on the steps of a truck to rest, and then lost consciousness. After awaking, he was hospitalized.

An employee had been tying rebar prior to pouring concrete at work. The employee finished work and when he got home he was getting cramps. Later, the employee felt sick, fainted, and was hospitalized for a heat injury.

An employee was installing bracing on the edge form as the crew prepared a bridge for a deck pour. The employee began to feel hot and thirsty and then fainted. He was hospitalized for heat stress.

An employee was installing satellite TV at a private residence and passed out due to heat illness.

An employee was installing cable services at a customer’s home and felt dizzy. The employee sat down, stood up and then lost consciousness possibly due to heat-related illness.

An employee lost consciousness and fell to the concrete pavement while blowing grass off of the concrete with a grass blower. The incident may be heat-related.

An employee was hanging sheet rock when he became sick due to possible dehydration. He passed out, started shaking, and fell, striking and scratching his face.

An employee was picking up trash when he fainted due to dehydration and hit his head on the floor.

An employee was walking to his work station when he lost consciousness possibly due to heat stress and fell face first onto the concrete warehouse floor. He suffered pain to his nose and lost two front teeth.

On August 23, 2016, at approximately 4:15 PM, an employee passed out and struck his head on the floor due to heat stress.
