Fractures (except skull fractures) and concussions

At about 8:10 p.m. on April 23, 2019, a mounted border patrol agent ran into a branch and was knocked off his horse. He suffered a laceration, a concussion, and a hairline fracture to a vertebra in his neck. He was hospitalized.

An employee fell from a roof to the ground about 20 feet below. The employee suffered a concussion and fractures to the vertebrae and hip.

An employee was working from a man lift, installing siding to the exterior of the building. The employee unhooked his lanyard to enter a third floor window opening, when he slipped and fell to the ground below. The employee was hospitalized for a concussion and a broken foot.

An employee was walking between buildings when she slipped on ice. She was hospitalized with facial fractures and a concussion.

An employee climbed a mounted ladder on a semi-trailer to fill the generator on top of the trailer. He was trying to pull a fitting loose when he lost his balance and fell off of the ladder (height of 6 feet) to the ground, suffering fractured ribs and a concussion.

An employee was working from a ladder installed on the top of a scaffolding system when the ladder and scaffolding pushed away from the wall, causing the employee to fall approximately 20 feet. The employee suffered a broken neck and a concussion.

An employee was injured while unloading a bumper car. The employee was struck-by and crushed-by the material being unloaded. The employee suffered a broken leg and a concussion. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery.

An employee was operating a tree-trimming machine to cut tree limbs along a powerline when the machine rolled off a hill and struck a group of trees. He suffered a concussion, fractured arm, and broken ribs.
