Fractures (except rib, trunk fractures) and internal injuries

An employee was in a warehouse, standing on a dock plate between the dock and a truck trailer. The truck pulled forward and the employee was pinched between the trailer and the dock wall. The employee suffered fractures to both legs and some internal bleeding.

An employee was on the roof of a shop, retrieving a tree trimmer, when he fell through a skylight to the concrete floor 17 feet below. He suffered a broken wrist, elbow, and femur; kidney and liver injuries; and facial fractures.

An employee was riding in a company golf cart as a passenger when the driver made a sharp left turn and the employee was thrown to the pavement, striking the back of his head. He suffered a laceration, fractured skull, and damaged inner left ear.

An employee was walking out of the facility to make a delivery, tripped and fell breaking three fingers on the right hand and injuring his right kidney.

An employee was walking to a sampling location when he tripped on a barge rib and fell, striking the steel beam with his face. He busted his teeth, fractured his nose, and punctured an artery, requiring surgery.

While modifying scaffolding, an employee fell to the ground, suffering head and facial trauma, an internal injury, a broken wrist, and a leg laceration.

An employee was boring using an industrial auger when the auger locked up, pinning him against the bank. He suffered a fractured right leg and internal injuries.

An employee was cutting a hole in a wall while standing on a 7-foot ladder. He lost his balance and fell off the ladder, breaking his right foot, suffering an internal injury, cutting his forehead, and injuring both hands.

An employee was struck by a privately operated vehicle while standing to the side of a waste management truck. The employee was collecting trash from curbsides at the time. He suffered a broken leg, kidney bruising, and internal bleeding/bruising.

An employee was loading a stack of steel beams when they fell on top of him, fracturing his pelvis and collapsing his lung.
