Fractures and dislocations

A mechanic was servicing an elevator. As he was reaching around to secure a bolt, he was shocked by the electrical wiring. The employee pulled his arm back suddenly which resulted in a dislocation of his shoulder and a fracture in his arm.

An employee was standing on the third rung from the bottom of an eight-foot ladder while assisting with a hanging metal door. The employee lost his balance and fell, bringing the ladder down on top of him. The employee sustained a fractured and dislocated left ankle.

An employee was assisting with hoisting piping by a crane. The piping struck the employee and caused the employee to fall 5 feet off a trailer to the ground. The employee suffered a partial dislocation of their left shoulder with a possible fracture, as well as L2, L3, and L4 transitional lumbar fractures.

An employee was preparing to close the roll-up door on the back of a package delivery truck. He stepped backwards to place his foot on the lift gate and fell approximately 5 feet to the ground. The employee was hospitalized with a dislocated and fractured elbow that required surgery.
