Report: Struck by swinging or slipping object, other than handheld, n.e.c. at GRT Rubber Technologies in Paragould, Arkansas

DATE: 07/21/15

An employee was struck by a lower roller from a feeding machine. The employee was feeding cloth and rubber from the back of the machine. Tension built up and caused the roll to swing out from the machine. The employee sustained multiple injuries, which led to hospitalization: internal injuries, possible right arm fracture, three broken right-side ribs, and 6-inch laceration to right abdomen.
