An employee was working on a scaffold raised to a height of approximately four feet to install can light trim and sheet rock the ceiling. As the employee exited the end of the scaffold, he mis-stepped on the rung of the ladder integrated to the scaffold. He fell backward and struck his head on the wall. His hard hat fell off and then his head struck the floor. He was hospitalized for a fractured skull and bleeding in the brain.
