Report: Other fall to lower level less than 6 feet at SPX Transformer Solutions, Inc. in Kenner, Louisiana

An employee was chasing down fuel lines in order to decommission an oil cleaning rig. As he was doing so, he began stepping backwards toward an open side panel which had been used to access the trailer. He stepped out of the trailer and fell backwards approximately 49 inches onto the shop floor. He suffered severe head injuries and was hospitalized.
