Report: Contact with hot objects or substances at Service Transport Company in Deer Park, Texas

An employee offloaded tertiary butyl catechol (corrosive) from a cargo tank to a facility tank. Upon completion of the transfer, the employee began disconnecting hoses. He had difficulty with one of the connections and when the hose disconnected, hot product contacted the employee’s left arm and leg, causing a third degree burn.
