Report: Contact with hot objects or substances at Phillips 66 Alliance Refinery in Belle Chasse, Louisiana

An employee was removing a nitrogen line from a unit. The employee did not realize that the nitrogen hose was back-pressured with 30 psi of steam that originated from a manifold located at the north end of the unit. The steam caused second degree burns to the employee’s right inner thigh and left arm.
