Report: Caught in running equipment or machinery during maintenance, cleaning at Vulcan Materials Company in San Antonio, Texas

An employee climbed onto a collector conveyor belt to pry a large rock out from under a feeder grate. The plant was started and the employee was pulled down onto the conveyor under another feeder conveyor. He fell clear after about four seconds of the belt moving under him, having suffered several broken ribs and an internal injury.
