Report: Caught in running equipment or machinery during maintenance, cleaning at Quietflex Manufacturing Company, LP in Houston, Texas

DATE: 03/04/17

At approximately 8:25 a.m. on 3/4/2017, an employee was working on top of the cooling conveyor while cleaning the oven conveyor. The cleaning hose became caught in a gap between the oven roller and the conveyer unit and wrapped around his foot pulling both feet and lower legs into the gap. The employee was caught in and struck by the oven roller. The employee was admitted to the hospital with multiple fractures.
