Fractures

While delivering building products to a residential jobsite, an employee slipped and fell from a rooftop to the ground below. The employee sustained fractured vertebra and ribs and was hospitalized.

An employee entered a silo (tank) to clean the remainder of the grain from it and handle the sweeper machine. While the other sweepers were operating, he stepped back and his foot went inside the sweeper. The sweeper machine caught his boot first and then his foot, causing an open wound and broken bone.

Employees were moving a large electrical cabinet when it tipped over, striking an employee. The injured employee sustained a fracture and ligament damage requiring hospitalization and surgery.

An employee was walking on metal mesh to retrieve a tool. The mesh panel gave way and the employee fell 27 feet to the floor, suffering broken hips and legs.
